Nunca gostei de partilhar a minha vida pessoal no blog ou nas redes sociais Apenas os meus projectos. Fossem eles amadores ou não.
Sempre quis criar algo meu de raiz, algo que junta-se as minhas paixões de Moda e Fotografia. Queria associar-me de uma forma directa ou indirecta à divulgação do trabalho de artistas por todo o mundo. Em incorporar as suas obras em peças de roupa, na peça total. Assim em Janeiro de 2014 nasceu a minha primeira marca de roupa, Infinite Universe. Partilhei todos os passos da marca, todas as suas colecções: Marla Singer Photography x Infinite Universe; CineMusic e Spring/Summer 2016.

I never liked sharing my personal life on the blog or on my social media only my projects. Whether they were amateurs or not.
I always wanted to create something all by myself, something that combine my two passions: Fashion and photography. I wanted to work with artist across the world where I could share their work into my clothing. In January 2014 was born my first fashion brand: Infinite Universe. I had shared all steps of the brand and all collections here at the blog: Marla Singer Photography x Universe Infinite; CineMusic and Spring / Summer 2016.
Mas voltando ao início, quando criei a Infinite Universe tinha apenas 21 anos. Foi exactamente na altura que voltei a Portugal depois de ter vivido em Itália durante 3 meses através de um programa similar a Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinci. Foi uma altura em que era capaz de arriscar em qualquer situação, com uma enorme confiança e sentindo-me imparável! Com toda esta confiança extrema nunca imaginei como seria o pior cenário, aquele cenário em que o caminho não seria aquele que idealizava.
Apesar de ler imenso sobre marketing, gestão de marcas de moda, a experiência na altura era muito pouca. Mas pensei que se tinha uma visão deveria segui-la e manter-me fiel a ela. Por isso, avancei mas sem me preparar realmente, sem plano de negócios e a previsão dos riscos.
Não considero que tenha sido um fracasso porque existiram muitas vendas, muitas presenças em eventos, um corner da Infinite Universe numa Concept Store na Baixa-Chiado - Lisboa, referências esgotadas para uma loja internacional e na verdade muito mais! Mas o mais positivo foi tudo aquilo que aprendi na gestão da marca e as pessoas com quem trabalhei! Alguns bons exemplos abaixo:

It has been a long journey with Infinite Universe since 2014 very enriching and constant learning! But after 4 years I want to share the brand will come to an end.
Back to the beginning when I created Infinite Universe I was only 21 years old. It was exactly the time I returned to Portugal after living in Italy for 3 months through a program similar to Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinci. It was a time when I was able to risk in any situation, with enormous confidence and feeling unstoppable! With all that extreme confidence I never imagined what the worst-case scenario would be. Where the path would not be the one I dreamed of.
Despite reading a lot about marketing, managing of fashion brands, the experience at that time was very little. But I thought I should follow my vision and stick with it. That is why I went ahead without really preparing myself without a business plan and risk prediction.
I do not think it was a failure because there was a lot of sales, a lot of attendance at events, an Infinite Universe corner in a Concept Store in Baixa-Chiado - Lisbon, Sold out references to an international store and in fact a lot more! But the most positive thing was I learned so much about brand management and the people I worked with were just amazing! Some good examples below:
Passaram 4 anos e tornei-me uma pessoa diferente, com novos ideais e valores. Nasceu uma nova ambição em mim. Uma nova marca, uma marca de vestuário sustentável, com valores ambientais e sociais definidos como os pilares da marca. A seu tempo, esta nova marca chegará.
E por este motivo, talvez por me ter apaixonado por outra ideia, preciso de fechar este capitulo com a Infinte Universe. Uma marca que irá sempre fazer parte de mim e que me ajudou a crescer bastante. De momento, os últimos stocks ainda estão para venda, uma vez vendidos, será a despedida oficial.
De acordo com tudo aquilo que aprendi nesta jornada, vou fazer brevemente uma publicação com algumas dicas para quem está a iniciar a sua marca, penso que poderá ajudar de acordo com tudo aquilo que aprendi!

Four years have passed and they have made me a different person with new ideals and values. A new ambition was born in me. A new brand, a sustainable fashion brand with environmental and social values defined as the pillars of the brand. In time this new brand will arrive.
And for this reason I need to make a decision and leave Infinite Universe chapter close with an end. A brand that will always be part of me and that has helped me a lot. At the moment the last stocks are on sale here and once they are sold out will be an official farewell.
Next time I will make a blog post with some tips for who is starting a brand. I think I can help according to all that is learned!

Neste post anunciei que a nova colecção da minha marca Infinite Universe estava a caminho e hoje apresento na totalidade. É uma colecção de primavera / verão composta por três diferentes designs em que o artista convidado é Bor Cvetko, um rapaz de 18 anos da Eslovénia. Em que o mais curioso é fotografar todas elas com apenas um Iphone 5, fantástico não? As peças são crop tops e saias que se vendem separadamente ou juntamente em que fica um efeito lindo, quase como um vestido. Contem-me tudo, são peças que usariam? O que acharam desta colecção de primavera/verão?

In this post I announced the new collection of my fashion brand Infinite Universe was coming and today I present all the pieces. This new spring / summer collection consists in three different designs in which the guest artist is Bor Cvetko a boy of 18 years from Slovenia. The most curious fact is that he photograph all of these photos with an iPhone 5, isn't this fantastic? É verdade, aqui estou eu, depois de algum tempo ausente. Espero continuar, embora o pouco tempo livre seja um obstáculo. Mas enquanto isso, venho apresentar a mais recente colecção da minha loja Infinite Universe. CineMusic, é a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão 2015. Nesta colecção sabia que queria trabalhar com um ilustrador e depressa encontrei o trabalho maravilhoso de Martine Moen, que curiosamente tem apenas 22 anos e com um enorme talento. A ideia seria ilustrar duas personalidades do mundo do cinema e duas do mundo da música. Contamos assim com Johnny Depp, Marilyn Monroe, Alex Turner dos Arctic Monkeys e claro Lana Del Rey. Tudo grandes nomes da sua categoria. E claro irei partilhar muitas mais novidades acerca da marca. O que acharam desta nova colecção?

Yes, here I am, after some time away. I hope to continue posting on the blog although the free time is few. But meanwhile I want to present the newest collection from my shop Infinite Universe. CineMusic is the new Spring / Summer 2015 collection. In this collection I wanted to work with an illustrator and quickly found the wonderful work of Martine Moen, who curiously has only 22 and a huge talent. The idea is to illustrate two personalities of the cinema world and another two from the music world. So we have Johnny Depp, Marilyn Monroe, Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys and of course Lana Del Rey. All big names in his category. Of course I will share many more news about the brand. INFINITE UNIVERSE
Olá a todos! Hoje venho dar uma grande notícia que me tem deixado super feliz! Lembram-se de ter apresentado a colecção de Itália e Egipto da Primavera/Verão passado? Hoje venho contar que a nova colecção deste ano vem já este mês! O conceito da marca - trabalhar com artistas do mundo inteiro divulgando o seu trabalho - continua igual, mas as peças de roupa não! Anteriormente a marca trabalhava t-shirts e sweatshirts mas desta vez novas peças estão a caminho. Sweater - Infinite Universe | Skirt - OmgFashion | Creepers: Primak (UK)
After presenting my new project - Infinite Universe - the clothing line created by me. Today I show you a way of wearing this jumper from my store. It's a very visual and colorful sweater and is super comfortable and warm. All sweaters created in partnership with Marla Singer Photography were exactly as I wanted, a creative piece that stands out from any other piece of clothing in this outfit andI think clearly shows that idea! About the photographs it was all very random, the idea was not shooting the same day but I took anyway and I ended up shooting for fun and I quite liked the end result.

Depois de ter explicado o meu novo projecto- a Infinite Universe - a marca de roupa criada por mim. Hoje venho-vos mostrar uma forma de como usar num conjunto uma das peças que vendo na loja. É uma camisola bastante visual e colorida e para além disso é confortável e quentinha. Todas as camisolas que criei em parceria com a fotografa Marla Singer Photography ficaram exactamente como queria, uma peça criativa e que se destaca-se de qualquer outra peça de roupa e neste conjunto acho que claramente passa essa ideia! Quanto ás fotografias pela primeira vez nada foi pensado, foi tudo muito random, a ideia não era fotografar no mesmo dia mas aproveitei e acabei por fotografar por diversão e gostei bastante do resultado final.

Estava ansiosa por voltar com novo conteúdo. Surgiu a ideia de começar um novo projecto (mais para a frente falarei), a ideia de mudar de casa onde os desafios seriam enormes. Mas como arriscar sempre foi o meu lema de vida, arrisquei. E estou feliz por isso. E com esta nova casa já terei o meu próprio cantinho onde irei trabalhar nos meus inúmeros projectos. E hoje quis partilhar os pequenos detalhes do meu novo escritório. Revistas de inspiração, a minha primeira marca Infinite Universe presente, a minha cadeira mágica e novas peças de uma nova marca que está por nascer brevemente.

I was so excited to return with some new content. The idea was to start new things the idea of moving was a little hard because of the challenges I would face it. But since taking risks was always been my motto in life I went forward. And I'm glad I did it because I'm super happy. And with this new house I will have my own place where I will work on my many projects. And today I wanted to share little details of my new office. Não quero ser fashion, travel ou lifestyle blogger.
Simplesmente porque é algo que não me identifico e porque as minhas ambições pessoais são outras.Não quero de todo centrar o meu trabalho numa área apenas. Quero desenvolver os meus projectos e explorar mais a fotografia e arte. Sem deixar de lado, a Moda. A Moda numa vertente criativa mas em simultâneo de negócio.
I do not want to be a fashion travel or lifestyle blogger.
Simply because it is something that I don't identify me with and because my ambitions are different.I do not want to work with only one area. I want to develop my own projects and explore much more of photograph and art. Without leaving aside my other big passion: Fashion. Fashion in a creative but simultaneous on business level.
I want to develop projects that make some kind of difference in the world. I want to take risks, sometimes fail and try again! But always learning along the journey. I want to create something different! Something that make people stop, stare and question about it.

Desde adolescente que tenho o fascínio pela parte da criação de conceitos, produção e finalização de uma fotografia, especificamente de auto-retratos. Sempre foi muito simples para mim: surgir uma ideia, preparar o cenário / vestuário e ser eu mesma a "modelo" porque para mim não existiria melhor pessoa para criar a fotografia do que aquela que idealizou a fotografia desde o inicio (que acaba por ser eu mesma).Não sou profissional, simplesmente tenho esta enorme paixão e quero explorar muito mais na área da fotografia (sejam conceitos criativos ou mais sensuais). Quero realmente evoluir e contar uma história através de cada fotografia que crio. Quero criar impacto visual. Quero até diferenciar-me dessa forma, utilizar a fotografia a meu favor. Porque no fundo, consigo expressar o meu sentido estético através da fotografia e dar a conhecer um pouco de mim. (Por exemplo, pelo meu gosto por experimentar novas ideias sejam elas bem sucedidas ou não. Ou pelo meu sentido camaleão nas cores ou vestuário - Tanto gosto de cores escuras como cores pastel. Tanto gosto de peças de um tom como padrões. Eu sou assim.

Since I was a teenager I always was fascinated by creating concepts producing and finalizing a photography specifically in self-portraits. It was always very simple to me: to come up with an idea to prepare the set / outfit for the photoshoot and be the "model" myself.I am not a professional I simply overflow the enormous passion that I have for photography. I reall want to explore much more in photography (like creative or more sensual type of shoots). I want to get better skills in photography and always tell a story though each image. I also want to express myself and my personal aesthetic.

A Moda sempre foi a minha paixão e sempre estive ligada a esta área a nível profissional. Por volta dos meus 20 criei a minha primeira marca de roupa Infinite Universe e mais tarde, criei a Violet. Mas desapaixonei-me por ambas as marcas e percebi que o meu caminho verdadeiro não era aquele. O meu sonho sempre foi criar uma marca de vestuário desenvolvida por mim, mas depois das experiências anteriores percebi o meu verdadeiro propósito. Só faria sentido seguir o meu sonho mas pensando no futuro. No futuro social e ambiental. Associar o meu sonho a um bem comum, em vez de criar algo só pelo meu sonho e sem pensar em todo o resto. (muito ego).
Assim, quero partilhar a Moda que realmente faz sentido para mim em vez da Moda que estamos tão habituados a ser (por vezes manipulados) nos media. Quero falar de várias medidas possíveis para melhorarmos o nosso consumo de Moda actual. Quero através do Shewalksblog e social media criar conteúdo que façam diferença para todos nós e para o ambiente.
E o mais importante: Neste momento estou a desenvolver a minha marca focada em uma moda do futuro: ética, consciente e sustentável! Algo que também certamente irei partilhar com todos vocês!

Be through Fashion: Ethical, conscious and sustainable fashion
Fashion has always been my passion and I have always been linked to this area on a professional level. Around my twenties I decided to create my first fashion brand Infinite Universe and later I created Violet. But I understood that I stopped falling in love with both brands. I also understood that that wasn't the right path for me.
My main dream was always to create my own fashion brand but then with the past brand experiences I found my purpose. It only would make sense if I think about the future of fashion. In the social and environmental future. Creating something because of my own dream and without thinking of everything else wouldn't make any sense to me.
So I want to really share the Fashion that makes sense to me instead of the fashion that we get used to known (sometimes manipulated) in the media. I want to talk about various possibilities for our actual fashion consumption. Through shewalksblog and social media I want to create content that make difference for all of us and the environment.
And the most important: At this moment I am developing my fashion brand focused on the future of fashion: ethical, conscious and sustainable! Something i will share with all of you, for sure!

Em conclusão, estes serão os pontos fundamentais a nível pessoal e para este ano no shewalksblog. Quero manter o blog mais actualizado e com conteúdo relevante para todos que de alguma forma possa ajudar alguém! Também quero dar-me a conhecer mais, algo bastante difícil para mim (talvez por não gostar de falar muito de mim?), mas é importante conhecerem bem os valores, objectivos e ambições da pessoa por detrás deste site. Quero criar proximidade entre todos. E acima de tudo, quero partilhar os meus projectos, sejam eles bem sucedidos ou não. Porque acredito que conseguimos sempre aprender algo com as experiências de cada pessoa.

In conclusion these will be the key points on a personal level and for this year at shewalksblog. I want to keep the blog more updated and with relevant content for everyone and hoping that somehow help someone! I also want all of you to let me know better. This is something difficult for me (maybe because I do not like to talk a lot about myself?), But I think it is important for all of you to know the values goals and ambitions of the person behind this site. I want to create closeness among all. And above all I want to share my projects even if they be successful or not. Because I believe we can always learn something from each other experiences.
